The Remodel at Project Ewald is Complete!
We’re beyond excited to share this BEAUTIFUL full home renovation, which included remodeling the main floor, upper level, and basement. Project Ewald is now complete!
Our clients first approached us looking to modernize their home, and tailor it to the needs of their family. Their home had limited options for space, and with every room “sectioned off”, like many older homes, it felt very small.
ATD designers met with the family on several occasions, to get a better understanding on what they loved about their home, what they wanted to change, and ultimately, what their dream home goals were. From these meetings, we created a design that was modern, yet timeless, and used their space as efficiently as possible.
This extensive project included removing all original flooring, doors and trim. New drywall was installed throughout, smooth ceilings replaced the very retro “popcorn style” ceilings, new HVAC systems, updated electrical systems, and adjusting the existing walls in the house.
Before removing any walls, we had our architectural designer go over the floor plans, and to create this beautiful open space, we did need to remove some structural walls, which we replaced with an exposed wood beam. This added character, and strength to this home. It also created a gorgeous focal point in the main living area…. definitely to be a conversation starter.
Our in-house millwork shop created custom cabinets and built-ins, which enhanced the new hexagonal tile backsplash in the kitchen. Check out the photos below!
Besides improving the quality of life for our clients, this renovation added significant value to their home. Thanks to the new HVAC, spray foam insulation and new windows, it is also significantly more energy efficient than the original home.
“Hiring ATD was the best decision we made because they kept their promise and did not disappoint. They truly pay Attention to Detail! Months after moving in we are still amazed by the work they did and the details in our home!”
